In 2000, Deep founded MakeMyTrip, India’s leading online travel company. Under his stewardship, MakeMyTrip has become the largest online travel company, as well as the largest e-commerce business in India. The company has been recognized as one of India’s best travel portals.

Deep is the Chairman at IndiaTech.org and a major contributor to the inception and creation of IndiaTech.org, an industry association which primarily represents the interests of Indian internet companies.

Ravi Mehta

Ravi Mehta is the Founder of Steadview Capital which he founded in 2009. Steadview is a global tech fund with an emphasis on India, investing in both public and private tech companies. Steadview has made significant investments in the technology sector in India and is an investor in many leading companies such as Freshworks, Ola, PolicyBazaar, Nykaa, Zomato, Delhivery, Lenskart, Dream11, Unacademy, and many others.

Ravi is the Vice Chairman at IndiaTech.org and believes in creating a policy and regulatory environment that enables Indian start-ups to be competitive at the global level.

Rameesh Kailasam

Rameesh Kailasam is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of IndiaTech.org. He is a noted governance reform, policy expert and a business strategist. As the CEO, he leads the strategy and government engagements on behalf of the IndiaTech.org. He advises various businesses in sectors such as manufacturing, textiles, cab-hailing, travel and tourism, fintech, ed-tech, insurance, e-medicines, FMCG etc. Rameesh has over 20+ years of experience in government relations and is well respected for his inputs and insights in leadership building, market entry, research, competitiveness, strategy formulation and implementation, building business, coalitions, policy advocacy, crisis management and business development. He has expansive experience in working in various first of their kind path breaking technology projects, across sectors resulting into critical policy changes.

Prior to joining IndiaTech.org, Rameesh was Managing Director at APCO Worldwide heading the firm’s India operations across different sectors on matters of policy and advocacy and investment promotion. Prior to APCO, he served as Vice-President for Governmental Programs at IBM for South Asia. He also worked closely on semiconductor fab and solar policies during his stint at Applied Materials. Prior to Applied Materials, he was leading the Oracle-Hewlett-Packard e-Governance Center and worked with a number of governments on e-governance and IT policies.

He has been involved in the creation of next generation administrative reforms and was actively involved in the set-up and running of the Centre for Good Governance at the Government of Andhra Pradesh wherein he drove various governance reforms in Financial Accountability, Finance, Urban, Rural governance, Health, Education and governance reforms.

Rameesh is a Fellow with the Institute for Competitiveness (IFC) and a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant. He also delivers invited lectures on Governance reforms and public policies at various reputed Universities and Institutions in India. He has authored more than 200 whitepapers, articles and reports many of which have been adopted for creating regulations in India and other countries. He is a regular columnist in multiple media publications and appears on television on a number of varied topics.

Rameesh holds multiple qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Technology, as well as policy and e-governance reforms. He is also the recipient of the ICAI’s CMA’s “National Young Achiever Award” for outstanding contributions in the field of policy and governance reforms.

Dhiraj Gyani

Dhiraj Gyani is a growth-focused leader with over 22 years of comprehensive experience across Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Business Development. His career spans senior roles in Fortune 500 companies, as well as non-profits and trade associations, covering a wide array of industries, including Information Technology, Education, Regulated Industries, Consumer Goods, and Infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Dhiraj has driven strategic initiatives that foster growth and innovation. His deep understanding of regulatory landscapes and public policy has enabled him to effectively navigate complex business environments, ensuring compliance and advocating for favourable regulatory changes.

Dhiraj is passionate about startups, entrepreneurship, and technology and is actively involved in Incubating and investing in Digital companies. His ability to bridge the gap between business and government has been instrumental in driving policies that support innovation and growth in the startup ecosystem.

Shivam Tandon

Shivam completed his Post Graduate Program in Public Policy, Design and Management from the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) in 2023. He has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh and worked for 2+ years at Larsen and Toubro. He is keen to be a part of the growing startup industry of India and work towards policies that bring about positive change. Shivam is a cricket buff and in his spare time, Shivam can be found at theatre plays.

Jharna Kamdar

Jharna has an internship experience in the government sector of more than a year. She has spent five years studying Political Science at Hindu College and Ramjas College of University of Delhi. In the past, she has interned at NITI Aayog, Bureau of Police Research & Development, and Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a research capacity. She brings with herself a dedication for conducting in-depth research and advocating for issues that lie at the core of our member’s interests. In her spare time, Jharna can be found crocheting and cooking.
